About Us

Camp for Children and Youth with Diabetes

Camp Hopewell offers one week-long summer camp session for children and youth with Type 1 Diabetes. This program offers young people the same fun and exciting programming as our summer church camp sessions, including all the great outdoor games and events.

In addition to regular camp activities, these sessions include education and guidance to help participants learn how to better control their diabetes and lead a healthier lifestyle. Campers may learn to meet many of their medical needs, such as testing their blood sugar or maintaining their insulin levels, without the aid of an adult. It’s a great step to helping them learn to be independent and confident people. Several physicians and nurses volunteer for this program making it a safe and rewarding week for young people

Christians Living with Cancer Family Camp

Camp Hope is for families who have a child living with cancer and is open to the entire immediate family. The camp is free for the family, with hopes of giving all members time to relax and enjoy themselves. Activity scheduling makes it possible for families to have fun together, while also allowing parents time to themselves while trained staff members care for the children. Fun and attention for everyone help siblings rediscover that they are just as important and valuable as the child with cancer. This camp offers the opportunity for families to feel the joy of being together. A professional medical staff of physicians and nurses is on-site to help with any medical needs.

The Run

We own the hills of North Mississippi and invite you to join us and make them yours.

Located 70 miles southeast of Memphis, Oxford’s uniqueness captivates its visitors like a true Southern Classic.
The initial year for the Run for Hope Half Marathon and 5K was by all standards a success. Six hundred and forty six runners came to run the streets of our historic town and University; and the community was there to cheer them along. This was a strong regional event with runners from Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Alabama as well as attracting runners from locales as far away as Louisiana, Illinois, Indiana, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Colorado. Join us for the 2011 Run for Hope and meet the challenge of our hills then relax and take in the unique shops and galleries, ecletic restaurants and clubs, historic landmarks and comfortable inns that Oxford has to offer.
